To the Editor:

Although it seems that you may write much of the text for the McGill Reporter, I would like to remind you that the Reporter is not your own personal newsletter, but is rather meant to be a credible newspaper. As such, I was dismayed when I read your article "Budget blues lifting" (September 10). You wrote, "The news isn't all great... the freeze on tuition at universities will likely remain in place." This is a very non-objective statement. There are many students living under the poverty line who find the "freeze on tuition" a good thing. In the name of good journalism, I implore you to report the facts of an issue rather than making such biased judgements.

To the Editor:

Thank you for including an announcement of my research award in the "Kudos" section of the Reporter. I would like to point out however, that I do not do research on menopause. Indeed, I would never have won this particular award (the Heinz Lehmann Award for Outstanding Contributions to Neuropsychopharmacology) if I did. I do research on hormones and brain function.
