Art history students Mara Van Dishoeck, Julie Stolberg and Heidi Burgess highlight the cultural significance of pizza through the ages. They were part of a carnival organized by the Arts Undergraduate Society to benefit Centraide. The event succeeded in raising $1,300 and this artistic trio succeeded in downing most of their display.

The McGill men's soccer team won the Canadian championship, despite going into the CIAU tournament as sixth-ranked underdogs. The victory came after a sudden death shoot-out against the apparently invincible University of British Columbia Thunderbirds and created some new local heroes.

The November 5 session of Senate heard reports from the University's Ombudsperson and the Appeal Committee for Student Discipline and Grievances. Most of the discussion centred around foiling cheating on exams and the revised Conflict of Interest Policy.
