Ms. Wanda Leah Trineer has been appointed to a term position as senior treasury officer in the Treasury Department. She received her undergraduate training in science from McGill and has been extremely active in recent years with the McGill Alumni Association.

Mr. Daniel Boyer was recently named as the Wainwright civil law librarian for the Nahum Gelber Law Library. He is the curator of the Wainwright book collection -- one of the finest collections of books on the history of civil law anywhere, and his duties include teaching students to use legal materials. Trained as both a lawyer and a librarian, Boyer previously worked at the law libraries of the universities of Montreal and Sherbrooke.

Professor Louis Taillefer recently left McGill's Department of Physics to join the University of Toronto. Last year, Taillefer won NSERC's E.W. Steacie Memorial Fellowship and is an internationally respected expert on unconventional superconductivity.

Mr. Karl Jarosiewicz was recently promoted to the new position of web editor for McGill University. He is responsible for the content and design of the McGill Gateway, and for the development and production of new web materials and services linked from the University's top-level pages. Jarosiewicz was previously a public relations officer in the University Relations Office.

Professor Marc McKee recently moved to McGill with a joint appointment in the Faculty of Dentistry and the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology. A McGill graduate, McKee completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard and, since 1990, was a professor at the Université de Montréal. His research focuses on the role of extracellular matrix proteins in mediating biomineralization, cell adhesion and cell signaling in bones and teeth, and in pathologically calcified tissues.
